CAM (Tree in the Road)

Logo for Tree in the Middle of the Road
A 100 foot tall, 18 foot diameter, cottonwood tree towers in the middle of two gravel roads, which marks the border of Cass and Audubon Counties. Planted as a sprout in 1850 to mark the county line during the Civil War, this tree has now grown into a massive small town attraction. People have come from miles around to see “The Tree in the Middle of the Road.” When thinking of a potential logo, we immediately thought of this small town icon. This magnificent tree is located near our school and we’ve been visiting it for as long as we can remember. The logo shows the different seasons with the different colored leaves and portrays the placement of the tree in the middle of two gravel roads to make nature’s roundabout.

CAM (City of Anita)

City of Anita logo

The City of Anita has been working closely with our Small Business Class to create a new logo for their new city trucks. When creating this logo, we wanted to include the ideas and symbols that represented our small, but mighty city of Anita. There has been a city sign, as you are driving into Anita, that has been there for over 50 years, that showcases the great things about Anita. We wanted to create something that incorporated that sign, along with our other ideas. Anita is known as “A Whale of a Town,” so we included a whale and “water” as we have a widely known state park with a beautiful lake. This is what makes our town very special. We felt this was the perfect combination for our new logo for our new city trucks. We presented our new logo to the city employees, as well our city council and they were extremely happy!!
